While it is possible to connect Sequence-r to your Gmail account via native OAuth app, doing so requires approval. Sequence-r isn’t currently “google approved”, meaning Google will display the following warning:

Step 1: Enable 2-Step Verification (2FA)
App Passwords only work if 2-Step Verification is turned on.
Here’s how to enable it:
1. Sign in to your Google Account at myaccount.google.com.
2. Go to Security → How you sign in to Google.
3. Select 2-Step Verification and follow the prompts.
4. Choose your second factor (Google Prompt, Authenticator app, SMS, or security key).
5. Complete the setup.
Tip: Google Prompt or Authenticator app is usually easiest.

Step 2: Create an App Password
Now generate a password specifically for your email app:
1. In your Google Account, go to Security → 2-Step Verification.
2. Scroll down to App passwords and select it.
3. Choose an app name (e.g., “Sequence-r” or “Mail” – anything), then click Generate.
4. Copy the 16-character password Google shows you — this is your App Password.

On the email Tab, click “ADD EMAIL” and select the IMAP Option. The below window will appear on the right:

• Password: your App Password (from Step 2)

• IMAP server (host): imap.gmail.com
• Port: 993

Outgoing Mail (SMTP)
• SMTP server (host): smtp.gmail.com

Troubleshooting
• Wrong password errors: Make sure you’re using the App Password, not your normal Google password.
• Can’t see App Passwords: Double-check that 2-Step Verification is enabled.

• Multiple accounts: Create a separate App Password for each app/device if needed.
